great location , but a bit outdated
The huge room and bathroom were charming in an old style, making for a unique stay. The staff were lovely, especially the man at reception who was helpful and had a good sense of humor. Breakfast was a delightful start to the day with plenty of options. The mountain view from my room added to the overall experience, providing a scenic backdrop.
Some aspects of the hotel may feel outdated.

the location in victoria is fantastic, just across the road from the railway station. the view from our room was beautiful, and the hot water pressure was truly the best we've encountered on our trip. breakfast was included and quite enjoyable, which started our mornings off right. the staff were super helpful, giving us tips for what was open on sunday.

Perfect location right opposite the train station.
We experienced major inconvenience with luggage storage after check-out, as there was no dedicated room for it. Their solution was mediocre. leaving my luggage in another area of the hotel wasn’t ideal. The absence of air conditioning really made our stay uncomfortable during the heatwave, albeit we managed by keeping the windows open.

The decor reminded me of my college dorm days, and the lack of air conditioning resulted in a stuffy atmosphere at night. The lack of variety in dinner choices was disappointing too—some nights felt pretty limited. Inconsistent Wi-Fi also added to my frustration. It was a nice place for the price, but I think some modern upgrades are definitely needed.

Solo traveler’s great experience
The hotel’s location was perfect for me, right across from the train station! ! I particularly enjoyed a nice breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the bustling station square as I savored my meal.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but the quality made it acceptable.
